This year’s annual “Make It Work: Holiday Event” occurred on Tuesday, December 22nd at Rizzieri Aveda School.
Students were broken into groups and given the following items:
*5 Bobby Pins
*2 Hot Tools
*3 Combs or Brushes
*2 Rubber Bands
*Decorative Holiday Items
Students needed to take the items, and their teammates, and find inspiration in the holiday season to create a holiday hairdo.
Instructor, Sue Johnson, says, “You could be out somewhere stranded, or unexpectedly have to do your hair. You have to know how to ‘pull it together’ on the spot with limited supplies.”

Due to inclement weather, tonight’s orientation for January Cosmetology has been cancelled.
Students should report to school, as normal, on Monday, January 4th with their uniform pants and shoes. Their Rizzieri t-shirts will be issues on the first day of class.

Rizzieri Aveda School students and staff spent the morning with the Voorhees Fire Department. They came out to tour the school, show the students their fire truck, and accept a donation. The students at Rizzieri Aveda School each paid $5 on Halloween to wear their costumes, instead of their usual uniforms. $400 was raised for the Voorhees Fire Department. The school decided to match the donation, and a total of $800 was given to the local fire department.
Rizzieri Aveda School will continue to fundraise to support international and local charitable organizations.
