February 26, 2010Fashion Week in NYC: TibiAnd another hot look from the runway at Fashion Week with Frank Rizzieri and Kevin Ryan…this time at the Tibi Fall 2010 Collection.
“Curly girls are happy girls,” says Frank Rizzieri of the look that he produced for the show. Using two irons throughout the whole head, (1/4″ and 3/4″) spiral curls were created on each model. They weren’t cookie cutter curls, but instead had the look of just-coming-home-from-a-party-curls.

 The snapshot above shows messy, slept-in hair with a bold, red lip. The hair was meant to compliment the aesthetic of the casual clothing, with messy bedhead hair made fuller with clip-in hair pieces and styling cream for volume and texture. “It’s your classic wake-up-the-next-day bedhair,” says Frank Rizzieri. Frank Rizzieri and Kevin Ryan for RSession tools provided a ‘casual, but fun, side-pony to represent the quintessential Milly girl’ at the Milly by Michelle Smith runway show for the Fall 2010 looks. Models enjoyed quick blowouts, and then hair was raked with fingers instead of a brush to the side and fastened with an elastic in order to give the hair more texture. Some girls even sported berets and headbands as they made their way down the runway as a French take on the style. Stay tuned for additional looks & takes from Fashion Week. Be sure to keep your eyes open for Rizzieri Aveda School students and staff. Frank Rizzieri has taken and will be taking several students with him this year (as he done for the past several years) to help out with models backstage for the runway shows. The gentleman, above, is a model from the Perry Ellis runway show featuring Fall/Winter 2010 RTW Collection. Frank Rizzieri gave each of the guys what is referred to as a ‘male up-do.’ He flipped the hair back using some height and volume.
