Prom 2010 is quickly approaching, and like every new season,
there are new trends in hair and make-up to look forward to.
Your hair should be treated as an accessory – as if it were part of your dress. The formal style is the traditional and classic look that always passes the test of time. This year, as in recent years, celebrities are a big inspiriation for prom hairstyles. Check out your favorite red carpet styles from the Oscars, Grammys and Golden Globes. Don’t be afraid to try risks with your hair, as well. Braids, messy ponytails, finger waves, retro styles from the 40′s and 50′s, and chignon buns swept to the side will be all the rage this prom season.
As for make-up, 2010 is all about playing up the eyes, from daring and dramatic lashes to rimmed lids to smoky eyes. Among other hot make-up trends for this year, red lips are a dramatic touch to any look. Additionally, bold eyebrows are becoming more of a focus (tweezed, filled in, and never plucked) worn with a nude lip, and matte skin. Using a bronzer (instead of tanning) gives that just-from-the-sun glow, as well. March 24, 2010Mother’s Day Contest!! This May, let Rizzieri Aveda School help you celebrate your favorite woman – your mother!
Rizzieri, along with others, will be participating in a Mother’s Day contest to honor the women in our lives. Simply submit an essay stating why your mother is important to you. It should be no longer than 250 words, and needs to be submitted by April 25th. Essays can be dropped off at Rizzieri Aveda School at 8200 Town Center Blvd. in Voorhees, NJ 08043. The winner, along with the child that nominated them, will be treated to a day of beauty at Rizzieri Aveda School including hair, nail, and skin services. Additional prizes from area retailers will be announced at a later date, as well.
