Inspired by the Federal Government’s Cash for Clunkers program, Rizzieri Aveda School will be participating in a similar program.
Guests may bring in their old non-Aveda lipsticks to the school, and receive $2 towards their purchase of a new Aveda lipstick, with a limit of 6 per guest.
Karie Bennett, owner of the Atelier Lifestyle Salon Spa in San Jose, California, says that during a recession it’s a proven fact that lipstick sales go up. Why not make this fact economically and environmentally beneficial for the guests, as well.
The lipstick tubes will be on display at Rizzieri Aveda School, where they eventually will be recycled in an effort to continue environmental awareness, as per the Aveda beliefs.
