Kelsey of the Tumblr ‘Quiet Time’ accepted the challenge to up her manicure skills with a written word design that has been popping up on many of our favorite beauty sites. And we love the creative idea of using the local paper than reading the most recent piece of breaking news. The blogger perfected this print in just a few steps. First, she applied a neutral nail color like OPI Samoan Sand and allowed to dry. Then she dipped each fingernail into alcohol — we’d recommend using vodka for better results. Press a large strip of newspaper onto the top of each soaked nail. Remove slowly and finish with a glossy top coat to seal. What do you think about this DIY nail art? March 24, 2010Mother’s Day Contest!! This May, let Rizzieri Aveda School help you celebrate your favorite woman – your mother!
Rizzieri, along with others, will be participating in a Mother’s Day contest to honor the women in our lives. Simply submit an essay stating why your mother is important to you. It should be no longer than 250 words, and needs to be submitted by April 25th. Essays can be dropped off at Rizzieri Aveda School at 8200 Town Center Blvd. in Voorhees, NJ 08043. The winner, along with the child that nominated them, will be treated to a day of beauty at Rizzieri Aveda School including hair, nail, and skin services. Additional prizes from area retailers will be announced at a later date, as well.
