There is still time to apply for Rizzieri’s Make-Up School. It’ll be starting on September 12th, 2011 and runs Monday and Thursday evenings from 5:30pm – 8:30pm. The 10-week course goes through advanced make-up techniques and is taught by AnaMarie Rizzieri and Ally Coleman.

The Future of Hair Coloring?
The title of this post has futuristic sci-fi world written all over it, but it’s not as far off as you think. Fear not! This concept does not involve a crazy procedure with lots of needles. It’s more like chemically coaxing your hair to color itself. Sounds impossible, right?
It’s not. A new study published in the American Chemical Society Journal examined the many potential benefits of nano-sized hair colorants. Composed of pigments that are 1/5000th the width of a single human hair, these nano substances can not only trap dye for longer lasting color but could possibly stimulate the genes to produce the same melanin pigment that colors hair naturally. This is bigger than just getting an awesome color. Future studies on this could lead to a solution that stops or even prevents gray hair. People won’t just be defying their age, they’ll be forgetting about it completely.
