What is IHOC? It’s the Interfaith Homeless Outreach Council. They are hosting a Mall Walk for the Homeless on Sunday, February 26th. Sponsored by Voorhees Town Center.
It is IHOC’s 20th Anniversary this year of helping the homeless. They are an organization that helps address the needs of the homeless in Camden County, New Jersey. They are a South Jersey based interfaith coalition of congregations and individuals who have been helping the homeless for the past two decades. They care deeply about the plight of the less fortunate. Because they care they are involved. Because they are involved they have made a significant difference in the lives of countless people.
You might be wondering how you can help, and that is through the annual Mall Walk. Here are the important details:
When: Sunday, February 26th - Where: Voorhees Town Center (Echelon Mall) starting in Macy’s Court.
Registration begins at 1:00pm, Ong’s Hat String Band is at 1:15pm, and the walk starts at 2:00pm.
“What can we do?” – Anyone can help, from age 2 to 102. Just wear comfortable shoes and make arrangements to carry infants and have children ride along in a stroller or wagon.
“When do we start?” – The official start will be at 2:00pm, You can also start your walk anytime after 2:00pm, but no later then 3:00pm.
“Where do we start?” – Just follow the yellow balloons to the registration area.
“How can we help?” – Start getting sponsors for the walk, signing up sponsors is simple… All you have to do is ask your friends and family to sponsor you.
