Prom 2010 is quickly approaching, and like every new season,
there are new trends in hair and make-up to look forward to.
Your hair should be treated as an accessory – as if it were part of your dress. The formal style is the traditional and classic look that always passes the test of time. This year, as in recent years, celebrities are a big inspiriation for prom hairstyles. Check out your favorite red carpet styles from the Oscars, Grammys and Golden Globes. Don’t be afraid to try risks with your hair, as well. Braids, messy ponytails, finger waves, retro styles from the 40′s and 50′s, and chignon buns swept to the side will be all the rage this prom season.
As for make-up, 2010 is all about playing up the eyes, from daring and dramatic lashes to rimmed lids to smoky eyes. Additionally, bold eyebrows are becoming more of a focus (tweezed, filled in, and never plucked) worn with a nude lip, and matte skin.
