Schedule a Hair Check-Up

We use a scale to track our weight-loss progress and facial mapping to see how our healthy our skin is. But how can we analyze our hair to make sure we’re not losing too much of it? Hair loss affects millions of women and you may not notice that you’re shedding too many strands until you’ve lost a large percentage of them.

The new, patented device Haircheck sees what we can’t: how fast we’re losing hair and how susceptible it is to breakage. Using a small, removable cartridge, a trained hairstylist can measure the exact thickness of a section of hair in a couple of minutes and record the number, or score, to compare at future visits. If you’re concerned about breakage, the stylist can measure a section of hair at the crown and further down the section.

A difference of 10 percent or less is acceptable. However, if the hair on the back of your head is more than 20 percent skinnier than the hair at your crown, you may need a protein-rich conditioner to strengthen hair or thermal products to protect it from styling tools and prevent future breakage.

Haircheck provides quantifiable data that helps you figure out if a prescribed treatment is working or if you need to seek out a hair restoration specialist.
