Back on Monday we asked Blow Dry or Flat Iron? What is your preferred method and why?
It’s all about the right tools, right amount of heat and tension. Not to mention products. But which way is better for your hair? Blow dryer or flat iron?
There’s pros and cons to both. Ultimately it’s up to your personal preference to which way is best for you.
Blow Dry
Pro – Creates natural, softer looks, and it’s easier to achieve volume.
Con – Hair might not stay straight, especially when water and humidity is involved.
Flat Iron
Pro – Smooths hair so that it lies flat.
Con – Damaging to your hair because of the high levels of heat needed to penetrate hair.
Again, it’s ultimately up to what your preference is, just be sure to use products that will be sure to protect and nourish your hair!

Conserve Water. Help the Planet with Rizzieri Aveda School.
A recent national survey conducted by The Body Shop reveals some interesting findings: like that 69 percent of Americans would reduce shower time to conserve water and protect the environment. Did you know a typical showerhead uses about 7 gallons of water per minute? What about that the average person uses 70 gallons of water in their 10-minute shower? That’s 1,120 eight oz bottles of water. Here are some other stark stats:
• 34% of consumers polled think that a 10-minute long shower wastes only 10 gallons of water
• 67% of consumers polled admit to spending a maximum of 10 minutes in the shower
• 44% of consumers polled would be willing to cut their shower times by one to four minutes
• 53% of consumers polled believe that they could get clean in a three-minute shower

On the second Sunday each May, Americans celebrate Mother’s Day. This year, the special day falls on Sunday, May 9, 2011. Children everywhere will treat their mothers to special treatments, gifts, and words. This Mother’s Day, give your mother or a special mother in your life, the gift of relaxation. Here at Rizzieri, we are offering the Mother’s Retreat package.
Moms will receive a half-hour facial, a blow-dry, and a manicure here at Rizzieri Aveda School . The cost for the package is $30, and may be booked between April 9th, 2011 and June 9th, 2011.
The package is good for the Voorhees Town Center location, only. The services are performed by Senior Students in the final phase of their program, and they are supervised by licensed instructors.
Mothers may receive/book this package Tuesdays through Fridays. Seatings for facials begin at 10:45am on Tuesday, and 9:30am the rest of the week until 2:30pm for final facial seatings.
